4th Sunday

Hello Friends and Family,

We have just completed our 4th Sunday at our new missionary position at Sierraville Community Church in Sierraville, California, and we have enjoyed it a lot already.
We are so thankful for all of you for your prayer and concern for us in this new position.  This is new to us yet it is the same ministry.  We are here to tell others about Christ and help disciple the ones that are believers, and that ministry is the same no matter what culture we are in, as the Bible speaks across all cultures.
The people here have been so welcoming and friendly to us, and have helped us in many ways, as well as setting up the house with a washer and dryer, as well as blankets, etc.  Everyone keeps warning us about the cold weather, so this is sure going to be interesting coming from the Philippines to a place that might get down to -20 or so they say.
At the church, we are starting with teaching chronologically through the bible.  For Sunday school, we are teaching how to study the bible, and have started going through the book of Ephesians.   The goal is to have people read the scriptures thinking of the context of what is being said, and this will erase much confusion about what scripture really says.
We meet every Sunday for Sunday school then the service that starts at 10am now.  They were meeting at 11am but everyone agreed that earlier is better.  Then we also meet for a midweek service on Wednesday nights.  We have had a work day at the church where we are getting the place ready with maintenance needs before winter.
We have been out and about meeting all our neighbors and introducing ourselves to the locals in cafes, post office and other locations where people meet.  We have joined the volunteer fire department in our town and David has been asked to be the chaplain for the fire department of all the local towns.  He was already called upon to help out in one situation the other night.
Please pray for safety for any call that we have in the future and for salvation and safety for those that are not believers in the fire department.
We are blessed to live in a national forest.  Just down the street there are trails and trails to hike on and many other locations to explore.  God has really blessed us in this awesome place.
Thanks again for your prayers and support.
David and Adriana
